To soothe unruly curls and quench a thirsty scalp.

"The harsh chemicals used for styling can take a toll on both your hair and scalp."

Unruly curls Structure

Unruly curls hair is an oval with flat cross-section, and it is twisted into a spiral shape.

This twist makes the hair look curly and less shiny because of the small area where the light is reflected. In addition,

the cuticle layers are irregularly arranged along the hair stem, making it vulnerable to external stimuli and prone to drying.

Scalp characteristics

Unruly curls hair has a twisted structure that makes it difficult for sebum from the scalp to be evenly distributed throughout the hair.

Therefore, it is naturally drier than other types of hair, and is more prone to breakage or damage due to lack of moisture.

Hair growth patterns

With curly hair, it's often hard to notice length growth because of the twists and coils. It also tends to grow more slowly compared to

straight hair.

Strength and elasticity

Unruly curls hair may look thin and weak, but it is actually strong and elastic. However, it can easily break if damaged due to lack of moisture, excessive heat, chemical processing, etc.

Sebum secretion

Due to its genetic characteristics, there is relatively little activity in the sebaceous glands, so it is easy for the scalp to dry out.

This can cause problems such as scalp itching and dead skin cells, along with dryness of the hair.

Hair follicles

Unruly curls hair, hair follicles tend to grow in a curved shape in the skin. As a result, it is easy to develop ingrown hair or razor bumps that the hair grows back into the skin after shaving.

Sensitivity

The scalp can react sensitively to chemicals or strong stimuli due to its genetic characteristics. Therefore, it is recommended to be careful when choosing hair products and to avoid frequent styling that irritates the scalp.

Understanding the characteristics of black American hair and scalp and practicing appropriate care methods are critical to maintaining healthy hair and scalp.

Using mild products, sufficient moisturizing, avoiding excessive heat or chemical processing, and banning tight styling can help.

If you feel something wrong with your scalp, it is recommended to consult a dermatologist for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Three Plant-Based Surfactants from Coconut

Surfactants — the key ingredients responsible for cleansing — make up the largest portion of a shampoo's formulation. The potential harshness of sulfate-based surfactants is already well known, and many consumers are looking for safer, more gentle alternatives.

BlerBera Shampoo is formulated with three plant-derived surfactants, all extracted from coconut. Each surfactant serves a unique purpose in the cleansing process, and through our carefully balanced blend,

we've developed a signature formula that delivers a soft, gentle cleanse while keeping hair hydrated and healthy.

No 1.  Cocamidopropyl Betaine (surfactant)

This is an amphoteric surfactant made from fatty acids derived from coconut oil and betaine. It helps water and oil mix more effectively, enhancing cleansing performance while staying gentle on the skin. Because it's derived from natural sources, it's suitable even for sensitive skin. It creates a rich, luxurious lather, making the shampoo feel great during use. When combined with other surfactants, it helps reduce irritation and improves overall mildness of the formula.

No 2.  Coco-Glucoside + Decyl Glucoside (surfactant)

This non-ionic surfactant is derived from a reaction between coconut oil–based fatty acids and glucose extracted from corn or potato starch. It’s gentle on the skin, offers a mild and moisturizing feel, and is suitable for sensitive skin. As a biodegradable ingredient, it safely breaks down after rinsing, making it an eco-friendly and sustainable choice for clean beauty formulations.

(※ It provides effective cleansing without disrupting the cell membrane structure. Its molecular structure closely resembles the skin’s natural barrier, making it exceptionally gentle and non-irritating.)

No 3.  Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate (surfactant)

This gentle yet highly effective cleanser removes impurities such as excess sebum, product buildup, and other oil-based residues from both the scalp and hair. It also helps deliver lasting hydration to the scalp and strands. In particular, it works synergistically with Polyquaternium-67 in the formula to enhance conditioning and cleansing performance.

Piroctone Olamine  add.

Piroctone Olamine is an anti-dandruff active ingredient, soothes inflamed scalp and reduces fia king. It has a specific action against Pityrosporum Ovale, the agent responsible for the production of dandruff.

The anti-dandruff product containing Piroctone Olamine destroys the fungus infection that is responsible for the dandruff and works against the formation of new dandruff, makes the scalp stays clean, itch free and prevents the formation of newdandruff, you become free of all the inconvenience relating to dandruff.

Does Piroctone Olamine damage the scalp while removing dandruff and relieving itching?

To this end, we used a half head contrast experiment to compare the degreasability of the shampoo containing 0.2% Piroctone Olamine and the shampoo containing 50% isopropyl alcohol.According to the experimental results in the following table, we found that the total epidermal lipid secretion decreased from 40.7 to 36.8, after 10 subjects applied dandruff shampoo containing 0.2% Piroctone Olamine twice a day for four weeks. After the same treatment, sebum production was reduced by 3.0, a difference of just 0.9.Therefore, the addition of Piroctone Olamine did not significantly increase the degreasing effect of shampoo.

Secondly, we should also point out that the decrease rate of sebum secretion after using the shampoo containing Piroctone Olamine is 9.6%, less than 10%, and the normal daily rate of sebum change of people is also within this range.

This indicates that Piroctone Olamine has no degreasing effect, and it will not damage the scalp while removing dandruff and relieving itching.

Betaine  add.

Betaine is an amino acid–based humectant derived from sugar beets. Also known as trimethylglycine, it has a strong water-binding capacity, helping to maintain skin hydration and support a soothing effect on the skin.

Betaine, also known as trimethylglycine, is a naturally-derived moisturizing agent that does more than just hydrate.

It forms a gentle barrier on the skin’s surface, helping to block out everyday irritants while drawing in moisture where it's needed most. With its silky-light texture and fast-absorbing feel, it leaves your skin calm, comforted, and refreshingly soft.

It enhances softness and moisture retention in both skin and hair, while helping to shield the hair from structural damage caused by chemical treatments. In cleanser formulations, it plays a critical role in reducing surfactant-induced irritation by reinforcing the skin’s moisture barrier and maintaining optimal hydration levels.

Betaine is a well-tolerated ingredient known for its non-irritating properties and its ability to protect skin cells from environmental stress. It is rated EWG Green, making it a safe and gentle choice for skincare formulations.

Salicylic Acid  add.

Common scalp concerns—such as persistent itching, redness, and flaking—are often linked to a combination of factors, including excessive sebum production and an imbalance in the skin cell renewal cycle. These conditions can work together to worsen the scalp environment over time

Salicylic Acid (BHA) is widely recognized for its ability to relieve scalp itchiness. Its mechanism of action helps block irritation pathways and reduces the buildup of dead skin cells in the stratum corneum, preventing symptom flare-ups and minimizing the chance of early-stage inflammation. In addition to its exfoliating properties, BHA offers dual-action benefits by both inhibiting bacterial growth and suppressing the production of inflammatory mediators.

This plays a key role in stabilizing the scalp’s microbiome and helps calm immune-triggered inflammatory responses.

BHA is also effective in improving dandruff and maintaining scalp cleanliness. Since dandruff is often caused by excess sebum or irregular cell turnover—and can lead to chronic inflammation or even hair loss when coupled with microbial overgrowth—BHA works to reduce excess buildup and prevent the oxidation of fatty acids in sebum.

This creates an unfavorable environment for fungal growth and supports a healthier, more balanced scalp over time.

POLYFIX ZRC 25GP   add.

Polyfix ZRC 25GP is an aqueous solution primarily composed of Zinc Ricinoleate and contains a naturally derived chelating agent that activates its deodorizing function.

It works by forming stable ligand bonds with odor molecules containing nucleophilic atoms such as nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur, effectively capturing and neutralizing unpleasant smells. Unlike conventional odor absorbers, it does not release trapped odors even when exposed to heat or physical stress, ensuring long-lasting deodorizing performance.

Deobiome Noni™   add.

A non-chemical deodorizing active that supports a healthy antibacterial balance by targeting harmful bacteria while preserving beneficial microbes

A Natural Deodorizing & Skin-Balancing Solution from Noni

Derived from Morinda citrifolia—a tropical superfruit widely known as a health-boosting juice—this advanced ingredient utilizes PRCF (Plant-based Rich Cell Fraction) technology to provide a biological alternative to chemical deodorants. Instead of masking odor, it works at the microbial level, promoting healthier skin and long-lasting freshness.

How It Works

Body odor is caused by the interaction between sweat and skin-residing bacteria. This powerful noni-based extract targets odor-causing bacteria in three scientifically proven ways:

1.  Disrupts bacterial communication that triggers odor production.

2.  Prevents harmful bacterial colonies from forming on the skin.

3.  Blocks the formation of biofilm, which allows bacteria to thrive and persist.

As a result, it effectively reduces underarm odor, while also showing strong antimicrobial activity against acne-causing bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, and Malassezia furfur—a yeast linked to dandruff and other skin conditions.

Skin Microbiome Friendly

Unlike harsh chemicals, this solution respects your skin's natural microbiome—supporting beneficial bacteria while suppressing harmful pathogens. This balance is crucial for clear, resilient, and odor-free skin.

Additional Benefits

Thanks to its natural antioxidant properties, it also helps to:

○ Reduce scalp flakiness

○ Restore microbiome balance on oily or sensitive scalps

○ Promote the transition from oily or problematic skin to a more normalized, healthy skin condition

POLYQUATERNIUM-67   add.

Creates a silky shield over each strand, adding softness and shine while minimizing tangles and static for effortlessly beautiful hair.

D-Panthenol   add.

It maintains a strong moisturizing effect on dry skin and is effective as a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect on sensitive skin suffering from skin problems such as itching and erythema Maintaining moisturizing When a 2% applied lotion was prescribed for 7 days, it was confirmed that the moisture loss was reduced by 43.3%.

Ceramide   add.

Skin Barrier Support · Deep Hydration · Soothing Protection

○ What it does Ceramides are naturally occurring lipids (fats) that make up over 50% of the skin’s outer layer.

When added to facial creams, ceramides play a key role in restoring and strengthening the skin barrier, helping to lock in moisture and protect against environmental stressors.

○ Key Benefits

- Reinforces the skin’s natural barrier to prevent moisture loss and reduce sensitivity.

 - Deeply hydrates and helps retain moisture over time.

-  Soothes dry, irritated skin and supports skin recovery.

-  Improves skin texture and reduces the appearance of fine lines caused by dryness

○ Why it matters

As we age or when skin is exposed to harsh conditions, ceramide levels decrease — leading to dryness, irritation, and

a weakened barrier. Topically applied ceramides replenish what the skin has lost, promoting healthier, smoother, and

more resilient skin.
